About Us
We are a Service-Disabled Veteran and Hispanic-Owned Small Business
Since 2005 we have provided education, training, and management consulting services to individuals and organizations throughout the world.
Our Approach
By design our Company is flexible. Our headquarters is in Chandler, Arizona USA. It is virtual with the capacity to establish a local presence if the project requires it.
ConstructNET engages with experts to identify organizational challenges and determine solutions for clients. This may involve forming teams of consultants where several disciplines are necessary, as in the case of consulting and training in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
It may involve collaborating with partners as we have in the case of designing, developing, producing, and hosting online courses, where it may be necessary to form a team with technology expertise, curriculum expertise, and with creative and production expertise.
The Company was formed out of a concept developed at Arizona State University’s SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center (https://www.skysong.com/about-skysong/overview/) . SkySong “is one of the premier economic engines in the Valley of the Sun. The project’s success is a direct result of a focus on innovation and technology that attracts companies ranging from some of the world’s best known brands to one- or two-person startups.”
ConstructNET was incorporated as a private company and launched in 2005.
The Founders held positions at the University. Lupe Carbajal was in business development at the ASU School of Construction, and Dr. Loui Olivas was a Professor with ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
Mr. Carbajal is a Service-Disabled Veteran. He was wounded in Vietnam while serving with the 196th Light Infantry Brigade and is a recipient of the Bronze Star Award For Meritorious Achievement in Ground Operations Against Hostile Forces.
Lupe’s career includes 17 years as chief executive of his own company, providing consulting services to the transportation and construction industries in the U.S. and Latin America. His firm was named Small Business of the Year for its efforts in the Americas on behalf of its Federal Agency client. He served 13 years in the public sector, including 10 years as an administrator in higher education.
Lupe has served as constructNET’s full-time CEO since 2005.
Dr. Olivas is now Professor Emeritus in the Carey School Of Business, where he conducted research and taught for over 30 years in entrepreneurship and small business management.
He served 12 years as ASU’s Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and served 29 years with Distinction in the Arizona Air National Guard, retiring as a Colonel. He continues to serve on numerous national boards and commissions.
Dr. Olivas serves on constructNET’s Board of Directors and is a Senior Advisor to the CEO.
